Wellington, FL – April 7, 2015 – Alex Jayne’s Our Day Farm hit the ground running at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, this season and never looked back. The team collected some of the winter circuit’s top awards in both the hunter and the jumper divisions including the top prize in the HITS Ocala Great American $Million Grand Prix.  Their experienced, professional program along with years of experience riding, showing and training, make them a top training facility with the ability to compete anywhere.

The versatile Our Day Farm Team guided amateur rider, Kelsey Thatcher, to the WEF Circuit Championship in the High Amateur Owner Jumpers on her mount, Everything and a third place circuit finish on her second ride, Athena.  Thatcher started earning her blues the first time in the ring for the season and never let up. She collected over $21,500 in prize money alone between her two horses and added the SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” Rider Bonuses for each Classic win.  She won three classics in the division on Everything and another on Athena.

Thatcher didn’t stop there. She also won two Amateur Owner Hunter Stake Classes and multiple tricolors with her mounts, The Answer and Bugsy Malone throughout the WEF series.

“I’m really grateful for the Our Day Farm Team,” said Thatcher. “They take such great care of my horses when I’m gone and keep them going great for me.”

From the amateurs to the juniors, Our Day has been bringing along young rider, Gia Rinaldi, 15 years old, of Chicago. Rinaldi won a High Junior Jumper Classic and was second in another with her horse, G.P.S. Brilliant Disguise. She also won a Medium Junior Jumper Classic during the circuit. Rinaldi like Thatcher, also collected an SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” Bonus to add to her total winnings.

From the jumper rings to the equitation and hunter rings, the Our Day Farm staff gives Rinaldi the experience she needs in more than just one ring. Rinaldi qualified for and competed in the George Morris Excellence in Equitation class with her new horse, Cayambe (pictured right) .  The popular junior rider is also the highest placed Younger Junior Rider on the Leading Hunter Rider list for the circuit, which is impressive since she doesn't own a hunter. Rinaldi worked for her spot on the list, earning championships in the Junior Hunter division with all catch rides. Rinaldi had eight different horses given to her to ride in the junior hunter division and managed to win at least one blue ribbon on each of them plus multiple championships.

Our Day Farm’s newest rider, Abby Vincent, of Longwood, FL, came to the farm doing the 3’ equitation and has now shown in the Low Junior Jumpers at WEF with her new horse, Werner, a 12-year-old, Dutch Warmblood, gelding.

Our Day Farm rider Sienna Partipilo of Chicago, won a Children’s Jumper Classic in the International Ring among other top jumper ribbons with her horse, Alanda.

Senior rider, Isabelle Wagener, took home top ribbons, including some blues, in the Don Little Masters 50 & over Jumper division with her horses Chakira and Donnerchamp.

Along with clients, the Jayne family: Alex, Charlie, Maggie and Haylie, suit up and show some of their own horses.  Haylie Jayne Rolfe and husband, Nate, have a string of young horses they are breaking and training including five-year-old Zara, who has jumped consistently clear during the circuit. Zara earned first place honors at the WEF 5-year-old Jumper Finale with Charlie Jayne in the irons. Rolfe has also won Championships in the First Year Green Hunters on Jewel, a young Pony Lane Farm horse she has brought along to win top ribbons. Rolfe also rode Pony Lane Farm's The Answer to tricolors in the Second Year Green Division,

Maggie Jayne earned Championship honors with Pony Lane Farm’s Bugsy Malone in the Regular Conformation division and Our Day's Thunderbird in the Baby Greens. Maggie also placed second in the jumper ring aboard Pony Lane Farm's Splendor, collecting a nice paycheck from the $30,000 Grand Prix during Spring 1.

Last, but not by no means the least, Charlie Jayne and Chill R Z, owned by Alex Jayne and Maura Thatcher nabbed the top prize in the Hits Ocala Great American $Million Grand Prix. Jayne edged out McLain Ward and Rothchild to bring home the $350,000 paycheck.  Jayne placed third in the Thermal $Million Gand Prix the week before Ocala. Jayne has his sights set on the 2016 Rio Olympics and has already been an alternate for the US Team twice.

The versatility and experience of the Our Day Farm Team allows them to take horses and riders to any ring at any level. Their ability to ride and win in any ring themselves, gives them the upper hand with their customers. The farm is always in the top ribbons at the largest horse shows in the country and Europe, producing winners not only in the US but internationally.
