Julie Winkel is a USHJA EAP clinician, teaching young riders across the country.
Gurnee, IL - September 14, 2017– This last week Lauren and Kimber DiTallo of High Finance Farm headed to Reno, Nevada, to attend the Young Horse Trainers School hosted by Julie Winkel and Maplewood Stables, featuring Linda Allen, Jose Alejos and Mauricio Benavente.
The school covered everything from workshops on conformation and breeding selection to working youngsters on the ground. Also included were techniques to starting horses under saddle and developing the horses up the levels of competition. Lauren and Kimber are improving their skills needed to start young horses and met their latest acquisition, HFF Capital Asset (aka Wiley). He is a 2016 colt out of Telstar Nike and by Cartouche Z. It is hoped that he will be a stud horse in the upcoming years as well as a competition horse.
HFF Capital Asset High Finance Farm has again invited Julie Winkel to return to clinic at Fields and Fences October 14-15. The clinic will host 4 groups this year which include the traditional groups at height/experience of 2’-2’6”, 3’-3’3” and 3’6” and over along with an Intro/Basics Group for those riders wanting to focus on flat work and poles.
