Hott Horse Shows and Maffitt Lake Equestrian Center are pleased to announce that Troy and Laura Linback and Woodrun Horse Farm, from Mundelin, Illinois are a sponsor of Hott Horse Shows’ Two Rivers Summer Festival I Exhibitor Party.
“We love the show grounds at Maffitt Lake Equestrian Center and the hospitality the entire Hott family and show staff offers all of the riders and families. The exhibitor parties are fabulous and Tim and Libby [Hott] pull out all the stops to make sure everyone has a great time. We bring the whole family and all of us really enjoy our time here; we’re happy to support them!” said Troy Linback.
The Linback family and their string of champion Grand Prix horses is known throughout the horse show circuits. Laura and her husband Troy work out of the family farm in Mundelin, Illinois. The Linback family is steeped in equestrian tradition. Laura’s mother, Nancy Gorman, rides and owns some of the top hunter horses in the country and her daughter Laura has continued carrying that torch as the most winning amateur rider in the country. Laura started as many young girls do, in the pony ring. Her hard work and commitment to the sport paid off as she rode in the world cup finals in Milan, Italy, won the Hall of Fame Series three times and the National Horse Show Champion title four times. Her resume includes a successful track record as a nation’s cup rider in Europe and South America. Her husband Troy is the cement that holds the operation together. His tireless efforts conditioning and caring for the horses contribute to the overall success of Woodrun. Quote from Laura, “I am looking forward to bringing our horses and family back to Maffitt Lake Equestrian Center for Hott Shows this August. It’s an easy ride from the Chicago area and the facilities and prize money can’t be beat. It’s a top class show and everyone is so friendly, they make us feel at home.” Her husband Troy added, “And our son Owen loves to fish in the pond there too!”
Hott Horse Shows at Maffitt Lake Equestrian Center will return August 8 through the 19th and will feature weekly $5,000 Welcome Stakes and the $25,000 Purina Mills Grand Prix and the $25,000 Harley Hott Horse Shows Grand Prix. Their signature exhibitor parties, sponsored by the Linback family and Woodrun, will feature a steak cook out, bar and live band during the Two Rivers Summer Festival I on Sunday night. It will be the party of the summer and will feature the live music of Del “The Sax Man” Jones and the Final Mix Band! All are welcome and the event is totally free thanks to the support of the Linback family and the Hott family! Week II , the Purina Mills Pre-Prix Party and barbeque will take place Friday night and the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and Purina Mills will host a gala fundraiser and silent auction to benefit the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. Tickets for the gala are available for purchase in the show office or directly through the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
