Natalie Jayne, 14 of Elgin, Illinois, is a rider to keep an eye on this year as she works her way to qualify for the indoor championships, including the medal finals. Jayne’s show season has kicked off with major wins as she recently won a section of the ASPCA Maclay Medal on Cinzano during week 5 of the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Jayne is the daughter of Silas and Lynn Jayne (Our Day Farm), and Andre Dignelli’s Heritage Farm is part of the team responsible for Jayne’s success.
Jayne has already qualified for the George H. Morris Excellence in Equitation Championship held during the WEF series. The unique class requires riders to walk the course, school themselves and ride the class without the assistance of a trainer.
Jayne is definitely one of the Midwest riders to watch this year.
