HUNT SEAT NATIONALS COVER ART CONTEST |
Calling All IEA Rider Artists!
The deadline to submit artwork for the Hunt Seat National Finals Cover is FRIDAY, MARCH 16.
Winners receive $50 Amazon Gift Certificate, Recognition at Hunt Seat Finals and in IEA Media. Western National Finals Cover Art Contest Deadline is May 18. Riders from any discipline can submit artwork for either cover contest.

HUNT SEAT NATIONALS SILENT AUCTION |
IEA will be holding a SILENT AUCTION in Syracuse, NY during the Hunt Seat National Finals. We are looking for donations of Hunt Seat or Equestrian related items that would appeal to our audience. Donors will receive recognition in the program, on signage, social media, and announcements during the National Finals.
Proceeds from this auction will help support the IEA Benevolent Fund.

DRESSAGE INVITATIONAL FINALE |
MARCH 17-18, 2018 - OTTERBEIN UNIVERSITY
IEA is hosting a DRESSAGE INVITATIONAL FINALE at Otterbein University (Westerville, OH) on March 17-18, 2018 for riders in grades 6-12. In addition to the competition, the weekend will include a horsemanship test, exhibitor's party and college fair.
The IEA Dressage Pilot Program begin in 2016 in response to the increasing interest from the Dressage community and scrimmages have been held by teams in various locations across the US.
Sponsorships and Vendor Tables are still available and spectators are very welcome to attend. Come see what IEA has to offer your organization or barn.

IEA ENCOURAGES MEMBERS TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST THE SPREAD OF EHV |
IEA would like to bring to the attention of our membership the importance of being informed about and taking precautions against the spread of Equine Herpes Virus (EHV). While you can be assured that this virus is not a human health threat, it can pose a serious threat to the life of a horse, including neurological damage and death. READ MORE HERE. |

IEA SETS MEMBERSHIP RECORD FOR 16th CONSECUTIVE YEAR |
Celebrating its 16th competition season, the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA), has again set a record for membership. This season (2017-2018), membership is nearly 14,000. While the highest concentration of members is East of the Mississippi; the Western states are experiencing a greater percentage of growth. A new membership category-Junior Contributing Member-also attracted many new IEA participants. READ MORE HERE. |
IEA HEADS TO EQUINE AFFAIRE IN APRIL |
IEA will be holding a regular season Western show during the Ohio Equine Affaire on April 15, 2018 in Columbus, OH in Cooper Arena. IEA has participated at Equine Affaire in Massachusetts with a booth and special demonstration, but this is the first time we will host an actual IEA show during this 4-day equine extravaganza.
Billed as North America's Premiere Equine Exposition & Equestrian Gathering, Equine Affaire offers thousands of attendees a unique celebration of the horse offering unparalleled educational, entertainment, and shopping opportunities and IEA is very excited to play a special role.
