Wayne, IL – June 16, 2013 – Chicago Equestrian, an equine news and marketing website, organized a raffle to benefit the Zone 5 Scholarship Fund at the Showplace Productions’ Spring Spectacular Series. During the two weeks, Chicago Equestrian gathered raffle prizes donated by vendors or exhibitors and sold tickets for the prizes. Prize winners were drawn and announced during the week II Grand Prix, and a presentation was made to Zone 5 Chairman, Pat Boyle. Brenda Mueller, President of Chicago Equestrian, presented Boyle with $1500 that was raised from the raffle. In addition, Mueller presented a check for $500 from Chicago Equestrian from subscription proceeds. As a surprise to Zone Chairman Boyle, Dr. Robert Magnus, DVM, President, and Dr. Chuck Johnson, DVM, of Wisconsin Equine Clinic and Hospital, presented a check to the Scholarship Fund for an additional $1,000 making a total of $3,000 raised for the Scholarship Fund.
Wisconsin Equine Clinic and Hospital is a state-of-the-art equine veterinary hospital containing the latest equipment and technology to diagnose and care for competing horses.
“We value and support the education of the young riders in the area and are happy to support that any way we can,” said Magnus.
Wisconsin Equine Clinic is also sponsoring the $10,000 Junior/Amateur Jumper Finals at Showplace Productions’ Fall Championship Horse Show, September 10-15, 2013 in Wayne, IL. Riders will qualify for the Championship by competing in a series of Junior/Amateur Jumper classes held throughout the show season at Showplace Productions Shows.
“It’s nice to be able to give back to the industry, especially when it has to do with the up and coming kids from the area,” said Mueller.
