Showplace Productions to Host USHJA Children's and Adult Hunter and Jumper Championships for North Region





Showplace End of Summer Show Offers $125,000 in Prize Money

 
Roscoe, IL – August 4, 2016 – Showplace Productions is in high gear as they head into the Showplace End of Summer Show and host the USHJA Children’s/Adult Hunter and Jumper Championships - North Region, August 9-14, 2016. USHJA Zones 1, 2 and 5 will compete for team and individual championships during the show with Showplace’s signature hospitality, beautiful courses and fantastic awards at Ledges Sporting Horses in Roscoe, Illinois.
 
Throughout the week, Showplace Productions and manager, Patrick Boyle, will award over $125,000 in prize money in all divisions including:
 
$20,000 USHJA Children's/Adult Hunter Championships
$20,000 USHJA Children's/Adult Jumper Championships
$2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby
$15,000 1.30-Meter Grand Prix
$25,000 Adequan Grand Prix
 
This is the first year for the USHJA Children’s/Adult Hunter Championships presented by SmartPak, in which qualified horse and rider combinations will compete as teams and individuals for the North Region Championship Title. Teams of four will be scored under saddle and over two classic hunter style courses, with the scores added and the lowest member score being dropped for the team totals.

Individual hunter riders will show under saddle and will jump a derby style course and a handy round, with all scores added for the Individual Hunter Championship.
 
Qualified riders will also participate in the USHJA Children’s Adult Jumper Championships, which began in 2013 and are taking place for the second year at Ledges. The jumpers will compete for three days over four rounds in a Nations Cup format for the title. Horses in the Championships will also earn points toward the USHJA Zone Horse of the Year Awards.

In addition to the championship competition, the Showplace End of Summer Horse Show provides a full week of competition, offering trainers and riders in the championships, classes for other horses and clients while on the road, making for a worthwhile visit to the Chicago-land area. As the only Illinois Hunter Jumper Association rated show during this week, Boyle’s show has something for every level of rider.
 
The show highlights include the $15,000 1.30m Grand Prix, part of the $150,000 series presented by Marshall and Sterling, offering series awards. The leading horse and rider will receive a $10,000 bonus from Showplace Productions, the leading rider is awarded a custom CWD saddle and the leading trainer goes home with a $5,000 gift voucher from Devoucoux.
 
The week includes a $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby and topping off Sunday’s events is the $25,000 Adequan Grand Prix. All of the main events will be live streaming on www.starcreeklive.com.

Showplace's signature hospitality aims to please with a Welcome Reception Thursday afternoon upon completion of the show during the riders meeting.Friday and Saturday features a fantastic luncheon between the hunter and jumper sections on the upper deck of the Grand Prix ring.
