Wayne, IL- June 26, 2016The final week of competition continued at Showplace Productions' Spring Spectacular with the $50,000 Win Vision Grand Prix. In Showplace style, VIP patrons were treated to a delicious meal and open bar while taking in the Grand Prix activities. Showplace Productions always puts on a great Grand Prix event for riders and spectators alike, drawing large crowds of spectators to cheer on their favorite horse and rider combinations. In the shaded VIP Pavilion, a full buffet is offered for the VIP patrons daily, including an assortment of freshly made food, snacks, cold beverages and spirits. The tables overlooking the Grand Prix ring are adorned with white tablecloths, colorful center pieces, show programs and special giveaways from sponsors, offering a bright and welcoming environment for the Prix's spectators along with a fantastic view of the sponsor jumps, leader board and feature events.

Lisa Goldman and Rocs to Riches took second place being just a tenth of a second behind Jayne.

Spectators of the final Showplace Spring Spectacular Grand Prix watched a great showdown of riders, each going faster than the last to earn the top prize. Two-time Olympic alternate Charlie Jayne and his Playboy proved to be the fastest with a double clear round and a quick time of 34.227. Jayne edged out second place rider, Lisa Goldman and her mount, Rocs to Riches, by only one tenth of a second, Goldman's time being 34.347. Both Jayne, of Elgin, Illinois, and Goldman, Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, are hometown favorites whom spectators love to see win. Both are known for their galloping style and bold short turns, making the jump off a real treat to watch. Both local riders have a resume of impressive career accomplishments, bringing the Chicago area some of the best riders in the country.

"It's a beautiful place. I don't jump this big so it is pretty amazing to watch the athleticism of the horses and the people that ride them. It's very breathtaking. It's really fun because it's social and you get to talk to a lot of people you don't normally get to talk to at horse shows," commented Jenny Welhouse, Madison, Wisconsin of the VIP area.

Thanks to the many generous sponsors, Showplace Productions offers plenty of hospitality all week long and this past week was no exception, honoring World Championship Hunter Rider Week kicking off with Derby Day. All exhibitors and spectators enjoyed a delicious derby day breakfast sponsored by Diane Carney and Telluride.

As the official USHJA National and International Derbies took over the Grand Prix Ring, Gene & Georgetti and Michelle Durpetti brought in more freshly grilled fare. Gene & Georgetti is a family owned Chicago steakhouse tradition since 1941, bringing to Showplace a sampling of their delicious fare and classic style.

As the week of competition continued, so did the hospitality. Show manager Pat Boyle and his wife, Nicole, are often seen personally delivering Jersey Mike's sub sandwiches to trainers and exhibitors back in the barn area (
