USHJA Announces Presidential Candidates

Election to take place at September 12 Board of Directors Meeting

Lexington, KY----   August 1, 2016 ----   The United States Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce Mary Babick and Diane Carney as the two candidates for the Office of President for the USHJA. The USHJA Board of Directors will hear candidate presentations and elect one of these two nominees as President during their meeting scheduled for September 12.

Based on the nominations received from members, the Nominating Committee reviewed candidate questionnaires and conducted interviews with the nominees and submitted the committee's nominee, Mary Babick, to the Board of Directors on July 1. Upon receipt of the Nominating Committee's recommendation, board members were permitted to make additional nominations for 10 days. Diane Carney is a nominee from the board floor.

"We value the participation of the membership in the nomination process, as well as the roles of the Nominating Committee and the Board in determining the candidates," said Kevin Price, USHJA executive director. "The USHJA team looks forward to continuing to serve the mission of the USHJA in partnership with the new President."
The USHJA Board of Directors plans to vote for the office of president during the September 12 meeting at the Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport Hotel
which begins at 1 p.m. CT. The meeting will be open to members and available to the broader membership via a recorded webcast that will be posted on the USHJA website no later than the following day. Members interested in attending the meeting should contact Leslie Mangan for comprehensive details at
